— FIRST IMPRESSIONS —

APPEARANCE The first thing people tend to notice about Jack is his height--he is incredibly tall, standing a head or more above most men. The second thing they notice is that he doesn't have any skin. Jack is a skeleton--not a scrap of hair or hide on him. He doesn't have eyeballs but somehow can still blink. He also has a tongue. Don't question it.

CLOTHING The good people of Solvunn have made sure Jack is ready for severe weather--perhaps overcompensating a bit for his lack of skin. He wears a brown, fur-collared cloak with a simple, somewhat ill-fitting orange tunic beneath cinched with a thick black belt. His black pants are tucked into sturdy little boots which also have the fur treatment. He wears no gloves and his sleeves hang loose around his wrists.

DEMEANOR Jack swings between two primary dispositions--jolly and inquisitive or stormy and aloof. He can easily become lost in his own thoughts and is victim to strong moods. When he's happy he's on top of the world and when he's sad he might as well have a little rain cloud hovering above him.

AURAL Jack has quite the melodic voice! He speaks from deep in his chest and projects so that his voice might be heard from some distance. He also tends to forget his inside voice when he becomes excited. His laughter is creaky and ominous.

OLFACTORY Crisp dead leaves. Rain in the air. Something almost like cinnamon.

CREATIVE Jack is able to formulate complex and abstract ideas. He invents songs, poetry, and stories to entertain himself and others.

SCARY Jack has a commanding presence and has the ability to instill fear into those around him when he so chooses. He's not the Pumpkin King for nothing!
